|  This is a detailed zoom of an image that shows a very creative use of instancing.Thousands of small spheres are instanced over the dragon's body,and instances are used for the coins as well.From the artist: "HD Instance is tracking 195,327 points for various ray-traced spheres,and about 18,527 points for ray-traced coins.Without ray-tracing for shadows and reflections,the scene renders pretty quickly,and even with the soft-edged ray-traced shadow light,and ray-traced reflections,the scene still falls within production-level render-times."
